Decorative plaster CERESIT CT74 with pebble texture with a grain thickness of 1.5mm
The most important features of silicone plaster are:
- excellent self-clean effect
- high resistance to dirt
- hydrophobic
- highest resistance to soaking
- excellent vapour permeability and very low water absorption
- high durability
- high flexibility and impact resistance
- high resistance to harsh weather conditions
- high color stability
- BioProtect formula – highly resistant to the development of mold, fungi and algae
- possibility of machine application
- available in full colour CERESIT Colours of Nature®
Application of plastering CERESIT:
Plaster CERESIT CT 74 is used for thin-film plastering expeditions on insulation systems, concrete substrates, traditional plasters, gypsum substrates and chipboard, plasterboard, etc. It is recommended to use CT 74 plaster as an equelective expedition in complex CERESIT Ceretherm insulation systems of external walls of buildings (ETICS) using polystyrene slabs and mineral wool. Ct 74 plaster is recommended for use on exterior walls where high vapour permeability, low water absorption and high resistance to dirt (Double Dry Technology) are required. In order to ensure the durability of the façade, in order to prevent overheating of the façade surface, it is recommended to use CT 74 plaster with a reflectance of HBW ≥ 20. If plaster with HBW below 20 is used, it is recommended to consult the technical department of the CERESIT in order to select an appropriate warming system. CT 74 CERESIT is available in a wide range of colours, but for intense dark colours, the use of the material should be limited to small areas, e.g. architectural details. Plaster CERESIT CT 74 has the Formula BioProtect - protection against biological infestation, e.g. fungi, molds or algae increasing its resistance to their impact.
CT74 CERESIT app:
- Preparation of the substrate:
CT 74 can be used on substrates equal to, load-bearing, dry and free of fats, bitumen, dust and other adhesion-reducing substances:
— cement and cement-lime plasters (age over 28 days), concrete (age over 3 months, humidity ≤ 4%) – primed with quartz CERESIT CT 16,
— fibreglass mesh reinforced layers, made of CERESIT CT 80, CT 85, CT 190, ZU (age over 1 day) – primed with QUARTZ SOIL CT 16 and CERESIT CT 87 (age over 1 day),
— gypsum substrates (indoors only) with a humidity of less than 1 % – primed first with CERESIT CT 17 and then with quartz soil CT 16,
— chipboard, plasterboard and plasterboard (indoors only), fixed to the recommendations of plate manufacturers, primed first with CT 17 and then with QUARTZ SOIL CT 16,
— coatings (indoor only) – strong, of good adhesion, primed with quartz soil CT 16.
Uneven and damaged substrates must be aligned and repaired in advance. For traditional plasters and concrete substrates, a CT 29 CERESIT can be used. Existing stains, low-strength layers and paint coatings from elastic, lime and adhesive paints must be completely removed. The soaking substrates must first be primed with CT 17 and, after a minimum of 2 hours, with CT 16 quartz land. It is recommended to use CT 16 in a color similar to the color of the plaster. CT 74 can be applied after the CT 16 quartz soil has completely dried. The pressure of moisture from the ground can damage the plaster, so make sure that suitable sealing layers are made in rooms (places) exposed to permanent moisture. - Recommendations:
Do not apply plaster to heavily sunlit walls. When carrying out warming work, it is absolutely recommended to use shields on scaffolding. Until it dries completely, the expedition should be protected from direct sunlight, rain and strong winds. Due to the natural fillers contained, which may cause differences in appearance and shades of plaster, material with the same production order number on each package should be used on one plane. In order to ensure a homogeneous plaster structure, a sufficient number of workers should be provided at the different levels of scaffolding and subsequent work surfaces should be joined by a wet-wet method. The rested packaging should be thoroughly closed and its contents used as soon as possible. - Consumption:
Approximate consumption at 1.5mm is 2.1 to 2.5 kg/m2
