Application of CT60:
Plaster CERESIT CT 60 is used for thin-film plastering expeditions in insulation systems, concrete substrates, traditional plasters, gypsum substrates and chipboard, plasterboard, etc. It is recommended to use CT 60 plaster as an equelective expedition in complex systems CERESIT Ceretherm insulation of the exterior walls of buildings (ETICS). In order to ensure the durability of the façade, it is recommended to use CT 60 plaster with a reflectance of HBW ≥ 20 to prevent overheating of the façade surface. If plaster with HBW below 20 is used, it is recommended to consult the technical department of the CERESIT in order to select an appropriate warming system. In the case of intense dark colours, the use of the material should be limited to small areas, e.g. architectural details. Ct60 CERESIT has a BioProtect formula – a protection against biological shocks, e.g. fungi, molds or algae, which increase its resistance to their effects.
Application of acrylic plaster CERESIT:
- Preparation of the substrate:
CT 60 can be used on substrates equal to, load-bearing, dry and free of fats, bitumen, dust and other adhesion-reducing substances:
— cement and cement-lime plasters (age over 28 days, humidity ≤ 4%), concrete (age over 3 months, humidity ≤ 4%) – primed with quartz CERESIT ,
— fibreglass mesh reinforced layers, made of CERESIT CT 80, 85, ZU, CT 190 (age over 1 day) – primed with quartz soil CT 16 and CT 87 (age over 1 day),
— gypsum substrates (indoor only) with a moisture content of less than 1 % – primed first with CERESIT CT 17 and then with quartz soil CT 16,chipboard, gypsum fibre and plasterboard (indoor only), fixed according to the recommendations of plate manufacturers primed first with CT 17 and then with quartz soil CT 16,
— coatings (indoor only) – strong, of good adhesion, primed with quartz soil CT 16.
Uneven and damaged substrates must be aligned and repaired in advance. For traditional plasters and concrete substrates, a CT 29 CERESIT can be used. Existing stains, low-strength layers and paint coatings from elastic, lime and adhesive paints must be completely removed. The soaking substrates must first be primed with CT 17 and, after a minimum of 2 hours, with CT 16 quartz land. It is recommended to use CT 16 in a color similar to the color of the plaster. CT 60 can be applied after the CT 16 quartz soil has completely dried. The pressure of moisture from the ground can damage the plaster, so make sure that suitable sealing layers are made in rooms (places) exposed to permanent moisture.
Mix the contents of the container thoroughly. If necessary, add no more than 1% pure water and mix again. Do not use rusting containers and tools. CT 60 evenly applied to the substrate, to the thickness of the grain, using an angled steel trouch. Then, with circular movements of a flat-held plastic pack, it is necessary to give it a homogeneous texture of densely arranged aggregate grains. Do not condense the plaster with water! On one plane work without gaps, maintaining the same consistency of the material. If it is necessary to interrupt the work, glue the adhesive tape along the designated line, apply plaster, give it an invoice, and then break the tape with the remnants of fresh material. After a break, continue to work from the designated place. The edge of the previously made expedition can be secured with adhesive tape. Tools and fresh dirt should be washed with water, and hardened plaster residues should be removed mechanically. Plaster restorations can be carried out by painting with ACRY PAINT CT 42 or silicone paint CERESIT CT 48, applied silicone CERESIT CT 49. Machine application capability. Recommended machine type e.g. Wagner PC 15, PC 830, SPG Baumaschinen PG 20.
Do not apply plaster to heavily sunlit walls. When carrying out warming work, it is absolutely recommended to use shields on scaffolding. Until it dries completely, the expedition should be protected from direct sunlight, rain and strong winds. Due to the natural fillers contained, which may cause differences in appearance and shades of plaster, material with the same production order number on each package should be used on one plane. In order to ensure a homogeneous plaster structure, a sufficient number of workers should be provided at the different levels of scaffolding and subsequent work surfaces should be joined by a wet-wet method. The rested packaging should be thoroughly closed and its contents used as soon as possible.
