Of the widespread and affordable building materials, drywall deserves to be distinguished. Popular reps are recognized both for finishing new houses and apartments, as well as for carrying out renovations, making various improvements or adapting existing interiors. Drywall is most often used as wall or ceiling cladding, although it is also used for other purposes, such as the housing of bathrooms, doors and walls of kitchen and bathroom furniture.
Simple installation of drywall of this type reduces the time needed to perform work, while maintaining excellent visual effect and guaranteeing a long life of the installation. Regipse plates are also used as partitions or curtains. Some of the people renovating the apartment, in turn, use dry plaster to create a suspended ceiling or align the curves of the walls and cover the structural defects. The popular dry plaster is often used to cover up cables, electrical wires or other unsightly and disfiguring elements that interfere with the aesthetics of the interior. It is also valued for the possibility of bending its surface, thanks to which the renovators are able to make arched structures on their basis. In the case of traditional plaster, such a manoeuvre would not be possible.
As befits a building material with a wide application, drywall is available in many variants. The basic division concerns their thickness, which is combined with the subsequent application of the material. The thinmest of them are used to place poles and ceilings. Materials with a slightly larger thickness (9-10 mm) pass the test when finishing walls. With partitions and suspended ceilings, specialists recommend products of type 12.5 mm or thicker. Drywall is also available in fire-resistant waterproof form.
We recommend that you familiarize yourself with other products in this category. There you will find angles, aluminium corners, profiles and rods for the installation of partitions.
